Only In My L.A.

Molly Shannon and I had lunch together yesterday at Larchmont Bungalow.  Okay, maybe not ‘technically’, since she was at the table next to me with a girlfriend, but for all intents and purposes, we lunched.  I lunched with Mary Katherine Gallagher.

 I was on the phone though, so I missed everything. I bet she said some gems too, she kept gesturing and moving her hands around wildly and what not.

Under normal circumstances, I would have hung up the phone immediately and listened to her conversation with eagle ears.  Provided ‘with eagle ears’ means ‘very carefully’, and I’m pretty sure it does. Unfortunately, I’m too lazy to verify that at this juncture.

However, these were not normal circumstances.  I had big news for my best friend: I had just talked to my dad for the first time in my entire life.  (I have a dad!) Wow.  And I met my friend’s baby yesterday too.

So yeah. My friend’s baby.  My dad.  A Molly Shannon sighting.  Kind of a big day.
